Dye VL Vascular Lesions

Dye – VL is an advanced technology that effectively treat vascular and pigmented lesions on the face, using Dye VL applicator for Harmony Pro XL. This non – invasive treatment will help to eliminate all types of erythema, acne rosacea, and superficial vascular lesions such as spider veins and thread veins.

What is vascular lesions?

Vascular lesions in the skin are caused by underlying tissues abnormalities that commonly appear in the neck and face. Most types of vascular lesions are genetic in origin; however, they also are acquired from environmental stressors and will be likely to worsen if not treated.

Vascular Lesions

How does vascular lesions treatment work?

The laser technology used to treat these vascular lesions targets specifically haemoglobin, this is a major component of our vascular system. The laser produces a bright light energy that is absorbed by abnormal blood vessels, causing structural damage to them without damaging the surrounding skin tissue. The laser applicator head has cooling technology meaning you will feel comfortable during and after the procedure. The duration of the treatment is around 45 minutes, but is dependent on the area being treated.

Your consultation with Azthetics clinic

Before your Dye VL vascular lesions treatment at our Bristol clinic, we will discuss your concerns and examine your skin. A patch test will also be performed at the initial consultation to allow an initial assessment of your skin tolerability to the laser. This will allow us to create your personal treatment plan which is tailored to you and your skin. We will also document your skin progress by taking some regular images throughout the treatment course.

How many treatments will you need?

Each client has individual needs therefore it really depends on size and depth of the treated area. However, most of our clients will start to see the first sign of positive results after one session. We would then recommend undergoing two to four sessions for the best results and long-lasting effects. Each session needs to be spaced approximately 4 weeks apart.

Before the treatment

It is recommended that you should avoid direct exposure to the sun prior to the treatment.

 After treatment care

After your skin is treated with the vascular lesion treatment, the treated areas may immediately appear red, this effect usually lasts for the first 24-48 hours but can be the case for up to 7 days. It is also possible to have post-procedural swelling which can last for up to 72 hours before self-resolving. Your skin after the treatment may feel very sensitive, it is recommended that you avoid the sun for at least two weeks and protect the skin with sunscreen with at least SPF 30.
